1.Installation of Fifth wheel

Saddle type traction seat (saddle) is a connecting part between the main vehicle and the trailer, which belongs to class a force bearing part in the process of vehicle driving. If the vehicle is in operation, the saddle must be safe and reliable. At the end of each operation, the relevant parts of the saddle should be carefully checked before uncoupling or mounting. If problems are found, the hidden parts should be handled or replaced in time to ensure the driving safety of the vehicle.
A.Check whether the welding seam of saddle welded panel is cracked and whether the wear plate is seriously worn.
B.Check whether the locking hook, wear ring and lock bolt are seriously worn, whether they exceed the allowable wear limit, whether the locking hook is deformed and whether the bolts of wear ring are loose.
C.Check whether the fastening bolts between the support and the connecting plate are loose, and whether the support is cracked or damaged.
D.Check the rubber damping sleeve for damage. Pry the connecting part of saddle plate and support with crowbar. If the gap is large, the rubber damping sleeve has been damaged.
E.Check whether there is enough grease in the parts requiring lubrication
F.Check whether the lubricating oil pipe is unblocked
G.Check whether the safety lock works normally and whether the lever mechanism is flexible or stuck.
3.Maintenance of 90# fifth wheel
Wear ring replacement
Remove the wear ring bolt, use a chisel to pry the old wear ring in the side of the wear ring opening. Clean the installation position of the wear ring, align the bolt hole of the new wear ring with the saddle bolt thread, pad the rubber plate, and hammer the new wear ring in and level it with a hammer. Screw in new wear ring bolts and tighten them according to the torque of 135 ~ 145nm.
MBPAP FIFTH WHEEL Lock hook replacement
Remove the wear ring bolt and wear ring. Use the M12 pin puller to pull out the lock hook pin. Turn over the saddle, remove the tubing assembly, spring and pull out the worn lock hook. Install new lock hook and lock hook pin, and re install oil pipe assembly and spring. Install the wear ring and bolt.
Bolt replacement
Turn over the saddle. Write down the combination spring. Remove the split pin, screw out the nut, remove the bolt, and move the lever assembly away. Remove the bolts and remove the intermediate sleeve and washer. Remove the split pin, screw off the nut, lift the lever assembly, and take out the lock pin, lock bolt and spacer sleeve. Follow the disassembly path to return and install the new lock bolt.
